General Booking Terms & Conditions

When you book your stay on our website, we offer our most competitive rates and special benefits that we believe will make a difference to your stay:

Check In & Check Out Times

Check In Time is from 4pm. Check Out Time by 11am.  Use of the pool area and loungers is only granted until 11:00 on your last day.

 

Rates

All terms and conditions quoted apply to bookings made directly with Almaranto.  For bookings made via third party websites, please refer to the Terms & Conditions sent to you with your booking confirmation.

 

Flexible Rate

  • Credit Card required to book and full payment taken 7 days prior to arrival 

  • Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will be charged when booking

  • Includes breakfast 

  • Amendment and Cancellation policy:

  • Booking can be amended or moved to new dates without charge up to 7 days prior to the arrival date 

  • Bookings cancelled within 7-4 days prior to arrival date will incur a charge equal to 50% of the booking value

  • Bookings cancelled within 3 days prior to arrival date will incur a charge equal to 100% of the booking value 

 

Advance Purchase Rate

  • Credit Card required to book and full payment is taken when booking

  • Includes breakfast 

  • Amendment and Cancellation policy:

  • Up to 30 days prior to arrival, booking can be moved once to new dates within 12 months

  • Bookings cannot be moved within 30 days of arrival date. This will be treated as a cancellation

  • Cancellation of booking at any time and 100% of the booking value is retained as a cancellation fee

Packages  

  • Credit Card required to book and full payment taken 7 days prior to arrival 

  • Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will be charged when booking

  • Includes breakfast as well as other services as listed as part of the Package  

  • Amendment and Cancellation policy:

  • Booking can be amended or moved without charge up to 7 days prior to arrival date 

  • Bookings cancelled within 7-4 days prior to arrival date will incur a charge equal to 50% of the accommodation value

  • Bookings cancelled within 3 days prior to arrival date will incur a charge equal to 100% of the accommodation value

  • Where a Package includes cooking classes, the class fee will be charged in line with the same cancellation policy as the accommodation deadlines quoted above. Where a class space can be filled, there will be no charge for cancelled classes

  • There is no charge for undelivered package elements for cancelled bookings (excluding classes) – only accommodation/cooking class charges as applicable will apply

  • Booking cannot be amended, moved or cancelled

Group Rates

  • Special terms and conditions may apply to group bookings of 6 or more rooms. Such terms will be confirmed at the time of enquiry – please contact us

  • Individual bookings made directly with the hotel or on its website but which the hotel feels are for the same group/party, may also incur additional terms as required to protect the hotel from the impact of the group 

  • We reserve the right to alter or refuse any booking(s) which are deemed to be a Group booking but not booked as such

  • Please contact us to discuss your requirements so that we can be sure to accommodate your Group to suit your requirements

         New Year/Capodanno

  • Guests staying at the hotel on the night of 31st December will have a mandatory attendance charge for the Gala Dinner added to the booking. The gala dinner is typically 5-courses with welcome drink and entertainment included and priced at a minimum of €125 per person.  The actual price and inclusive services of the gala dinner is  available to view at our website and also will be available to view at our booking page. Guests who make a reservation including 31st December but who do not wish to attend the gala dinner and who did not notice this clause will have 48 hours from the time of booking to then cancel their stay without charge. After this time, all cancellation policies applicable to the booking will be apply and the charge will stand.

Taxes

  • 10% IVA is charged per night of booking on all accommodation and is included in the nightly rates quoted

 

Payment

  • Payment of your booking will be taken from the credit card supplied at the time of booking, in line with the terms of the applicable rate/package for your booking

  • If full payment cannot be processed when due, Almaranto reserves the right to cancel your booking without further notice and any monies received as partial or full payment of your booking may be withheld as a cancellation fee

  • If Almaranto cancels a booking due to non-payment and you wish to rebook, the advertised rates and available rooms at the time of rebooking will apply

 

Cancellation of your booking  

  • Cancellation terms of your booking are based on the rate/package you have chosen and will be detailed in your booking confirmation

  • A summary of all rates categories and the applicable cancellation policies is included above

  • If you fail to arrive for your booking (‘no-show’) then 100% of your booking value will be charged, including any minimum package charges as applicable

Amendment & Cancellation Deadlines

  • For the avoidance of doubt, our amendment and cancellation deadlines are based on the number of full days (24hours) ahead of the start of your arrival date. Example: 

  • If you are due to arrive on the 9th and your booking has a 7-day cancellation policy, this means you have until 23:59 on the 1st of that month to cancel without charge. This puts 7 full days (24hours) between your last opportunity to cancel, and your scheduled arrive date (which begins at 00:01 on the 9th).

Early Check-In  

  • During busy times we cannot guarantee an early check-in as we will have departing and arriving guests who will need to access their room in line with their booking

  • We will offer early check-in whenever we can. Should you wish to be guaranteed this, please book your room from the night before

Room Occupancy Limits

  • All rooms and suites are designed to accommodate a maximum of 2 adults with the bed configuration provided as listed for each room/suite - twin/single beds are not available in any room or suite

  • The hotel does not allow any room to be solely occupied by guests under the age of 18. Any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Extra Child Beds​​

  • One extra child bed for one child up to the age of 10 years is possible - with advance request ahead of booking - in selected rooms only 

  • A charge of €60 per night is made for the use of an extra bed. 

  • We do not guarantee the availability of extra child beds. These must be requested in advance to ensure we can accommodate. We cannot guarantee to have an extra bed if you have not requested this before you have booked

  • We reserve the right to refuse accommodation to guests/parties which cannot comply to our bed/room occupancy policy

  • The child bed is NOT a full-size bed and will not accommodate an adult and cannot be provided for this purpose

 

Baby Cots

  • A baby cot for up to 2 years old can be provided free of charge, but on request and with advance booking

  • We cannot guarantee to have a baby cot available unless you have prebooked 

  • Sorry but it is not possible to supply a baby cot in the Piccolo room

 

Smoking Policy

  • All of our rooms at Almaranto are non-smoking. Guests are invited to smoke on their terraces or garden areas (where available) or only in designated smoking areas

  • A cleaning fee of €250 will be charged for any room where smoking has taken place and guests are liable for any damage to their room from smoking

 

Pet Policy

  • Sorry but we do not allow pets at Almaranto except for dogs which comply with our Dog Policy. Please ask for details before booking. 

 

WiFi

  • Complimentary WiFi is available to all guests, subject to our privacy policy 

 

Privacy & Data Policy

  • By booking and staying with Almaranto, you are deemed to agree with our Privacy & Data Policy which can be viewed here

  • To effectively process your booking and communicate with you in relation to your booking, you agree that we may contact you by email or phone prior to, during and after your booking dates

  • For Marketing emails, you have the right to opt-in and opt-out of any marketing communications and you may do this at any time by either contacting us, or clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link which you will find at the bottom of all marketing communications that we send

 

Noise & Party Policy

  • The Hotel wants all guests to enjoy their experience and so reserves the right to ask guests to keep noise/sound levels at an acceptable level after 10pm and before 8am

  • The Hotel does not allow parties of any kind in the rooms and guests may be asked to leave if reports of unacceptable behaviour or excessive noise are received.  In this instance, the Client will be liable for the full amount of their room and tax charges, as well as any damage incurred to the room(s) or public areas

  • Smoking is not allowed in any part of the Hotel or its grounds, except in the designated smoking area. A ‘smoking fee’ as appropriate to any damage or cleaning requirements will be charged to any room that the Hotel determines has been smoked in​

Indemnification

The Client hereby indemnifies and holds harmless The Hotel from and against any and all claims and demands for or in connection with any accident, injury or damage whatsoever caused to any person or property, whether arising, directly or indirectly, out of the fault or negligence of the Client, its Guests or its external invitees whilst using any of the rooms, public space or any other Hotel facility utilised in connection with this Booking and from and against any and all costs, expenses and liabilities incurred in connection with any claim or proceeding brought thereon.

Dog Policy

  • Guide dogs are always permitted free of charge

  • Please contact us to confirm we can accept your dog BEFORE you book your room at guests@almaranto.it

General

  • A dog is only permitted if agreed and pre-booked in selected Giardino Rooms - please contact us before you book

  • For a permitted dog, a charge of €20 per night will apply

  • Maximum size of dog allowed is 10kg and only one dog is allowed per room

  • For agreed dog bookings in our Giardino Rooms, if you arrive with more than one dog you will be charged €50 per night per additional dog
  • If you bring a dog which is not pre-booked and/or you have not reserved a dog-friendly room, we may deny entry of your dog.  Where your dog is permitted to stay, a charge of a €100 per night for additional cleaning will be made

  • The Hotel reserves the right to deny access for any additional dog, or where the dog does not comply with our maximum size policy

  • If your dog causes discomfort to fellow guests or your dog is not kept under control at all times, you will be asked to leave the hotel

  • You will be liable for any damage caused by your dog. You may wish to take out insurance of your own to cover this

  • Should you cancel your reservation on arrival as a result of your dog being denied entry, your booking will be charged in full in accordance with our cancellation policies

 

In Your Bedroom

  • Please keep your dog off the bed and furniture at all times

  • Your dog may be left unattended in your room for short periods, provided you are confident of their behaviour. If you do leave your dog unattended, please let us know and hang the ‘dog inside’ notice on your door as you leave

  • Please note that our housekeeping team cannot clean your room with the unattended dog in the room.  If this situation extends to after 14:00, your room won’t be cleaned that day as part of included housekeeping service. We can make up your room after that time upon request and housekeeping availability, with a charge of €50

  • We do not provide dog beds or bedding but can provide a food bowl and water bowl on request

 

Whilst at Almaranto

  • Always keep your dog on a lead when outside of your room and within the hotel

  • Please clean up after your dog at all times

  • Not everyone loves dogs so please respect other hotel guests and keep your dog under your control at all times

  • To avoid panic or stress, don’t allow your dog to approach other dogs or humans without an invitation
